A banana is an
edible fruit produced by several kinds of
large herbaceous flower plants of the genus Musa (In
some countries, bananas used for cooking may be called plantains.) (www.wikipedia.com)
Bananas are variable in size, color and firmness,
but is usually elongated and curved, with soft flesh rich
in starch covered with a rind which may be green, yellow, red,
purple, or brown when ripe. The fruits grow in clusters hanging from the top of
the plant.
A bruised banana is not a trash; it can be use in
producing banana chips because it increases the sweet taste of chips. And it is
a delicious delicacy that can be found here in the Philippines. It is still
useful most especially as a fertilizer on an agricultural soil such as; farm,
garden, and other soil that plants can live.
Agriculture in the Philippines is rapidly
dropping down because of the increasing of prices of the market products. Also
because of the flash floods, people who only rely on their agricultural jobs
will more affected compare to people who bought products came from agriculture;
they can buy to other agricultural product distributors.
